The "Stole My Heart" Story

We are not professional breeders, but a family who simply fell in love with these remarkable dogs. We've had dogs all of our lives, and all have been loved, but there is simply something very special about this amazing breed.
We live in west-central Maryland, not very far from Frederick and about an hour from Washington DC and Baltimore.
Our spinone story started when we saw a brief description of the spinone breed in an outdoor equipment catalog. Curious about what seemed to be the perfect dog, we searched out some members of this relatively rare breed, and instantly fell in love. We contacted Bob and Birdie Nelson, visited them, and while there, "Busy B's Good Golly Ms Molly" picked us as her new family.
A lot has changed in our lives as a result: We got involved in AKC shows, and Molly became a champion. We became members of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association. Finally, during AKC and NAVHDA hunt testing and evaluation, Tom became an avid upland bird hunter. There is something awe-inspiring about watching a great dog joyfully working a field.
In December 2010, we got a second spinone, "Busy B's Jivy Juggler," a friendly young pup with a great deal of promise, now beginning his training under the watchful tutelage of his Aunt Molly.
